Is this a replacement for calling 911?
No. SOS is a personal safety tool for trusted contacts — it doesn't dispatch emergency services and makes no guarantees about response times.
Who can see my location?
Only the specific contacts you pick for a specific check-in, and only if you turn location sharing on for it. Nobody else — not even SOS.
What happens if I check in on time?
Nothing. No alert goes out, and your trusted contacts never hear a thing — that's the whole idea.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes — the web version runs right in your browser. Accounts are only needed for SMS alerts and paid features.
